No-Cost Services
[/vc_column_text][divider line_type=”No Line” custom_height=”25″][vc_column_text]Anyone who qualifies for EEOICPA and RECA benefits in Utah are eligible to receive free health care from our organization, United Energy Workers healthcare. EEOICPA, otherwise known as the Energy Employees Occupational Illness Compensation Program and RECA, also known as the Radiation Exposure Compensation Act, are two Congressionally-approved federal acts with provisions that provide benefits to workers who were affected by radiation exposure and who have contracted a chronic illness or radiologic cancer due to their employment for the DOE or any of its contractors and subcontractors.
When nuclear energy was still burgeoning, it was fairly unknown how damaging radiation could be to the body and that heavy metals and other toxic substances could cause lifelong illnesses, not to mention devastating cancers that destroyed the immune system or caused tumors throughout different systems in the body. Our company is dedicated to these affected people, and we provide free home healthcare services for anyone who is compensated under EEOICPA and/or RECA.
Qualifications for Our Free Health Care
Utah was an original mining site for many of the materials the US used to built its nuclear missile program and expand into nuclear power. As a result, many workers living in Utah contracted radiation-induced cancers or other chronic illnesses that have left them debilitated or at the very least chronically ill. Anyone living in Utah who already has a card from the government stating their status as an EEOICPA or RECA beneficiary qualifies for our free home health care. Any others who do not yet have such a card must meet two qualifications before they are eligible to receive our services:
- They must have one of the qualifying illnesses (or a their deceased family member must have died from on of the qualifying illnesses)
- They must have worked, directly or indirectly, for the DOE.
We encourage anyone who meets these requirements to call us as soon as possible, as we can help you initiate the process to get approval for your benefits. If you are unsure if your employment or illness qualifies you to receive EEOCIPA and RECA benefits in Utah, you may still call us to see if you qualify. Family members may also call on behalf of their ill or deceased relatives.
What to Expect
Once approved through EEOICPA and/or RECA, you may immediately begin receiving our home healthcare services. We offer anything from light housework and cleaning to medical and medication monitoring. Our caregivers are trained and certified, and our health staff consists of registered nurses that can provide you assistance with any of your needs. Again, our services are completely free, so we work independently of your insurance or Medicare to provide you our services.
