Whole-Person In-Home Care for Arizona Energy Workers
United Energy Workers Healthcare provides purposeful, whole-person, in-home care for eligible Arizona energy and uranium workers, including those who worked in uranium mining, milling, and ore transport operations across northern Arizona and the Navajo Nation, at sites such as the Tuba City Uranium Mill, Monument Valley uranium processing areas, and surrounding uranium mine and ore haul locations, as well as other approved covered work sites in the state. We work alongside you, your family, and your providers to support care that honors your health, dignity, and independence—showing up with consistency, follow-through, and unwavering compassion.

Who May Qualify for EEOICPA or RECA in Arizona?
The Energy Employees Occupational Illness Compensation Program Act (EEOICPA) and the Radiation Exposure Compensation Act (RECA) are federal programs created to support energy and uranium workers who became ill due to work-related or radiation exposure. Eligibility depends on where and when you worked, the type of work performed, and your medical diagnosis.
In Arizona, individuals who worked at Department of Energy facilities such as uranium mining, milling, and ore transport operations across northern Arizona and the Navajo Nation, at sites such as the Tuba City Uranium Mill, Monument Valley uranium processing areas, and surrounding uranium mine and ore haul locations, or for covered contractors or subcontractors, may qualify for EEOICPA if they later developed a covered illness related to occupational exposure. RECA may provide separate financial compensation for eligible uranium workers who meet specific work history and illness criteria. While the programs are distinct, some individuals may qualify for support under one or both, depending on their circumstances.

Who We Serve
United Energy Workers Healthcare serves Arizona energy and uranium workers who may be eligible for support under the Energy Employees Occupational Illness Compensation Program Act (EEOICPA) or the Radiation Exposure Compensation Act (RECA). This includes individuals who worked at covered Department of Energy facilities or for approved contractors and later developed a qualifying illness related to occupational or radiation exposure.
In Arizona, energy workers who were employed at sites such as the northern Arizona and the Navajo Nation, at sites such as the Tuba City Uranium Mill, Monument Valley uranium processing areas, and surrounding uranium mine and ore haul locations, and diagnosed with certain cancers, chronic silicosis, beryllium sensitivity, or chronic beryllium disease may qualify under EEOICPA. RECA may provide separate financial compensation for eligible uranium workers who meet specific work history and illness criteria. Eligibility depends on where and when you worked and your medical diagnosis.
