The Energy Employees Occupational Illness Compensation Program Act (EEOICPA) is a federal program designed to support energy workers who became ill as a result of work-related exposure at covered Department of Energy facilities. Eligibility depends on where and when you worked, your role, and your medical diagnosis.
In Tennessee, individuals who worked at DOE facilities such as Y-12 National Security Complex, K-25 Site, Oak Ridge National Laboratory, or for covered contractors or subcontractors may qualify if they later developed a covered illness related to occupational exposure. Covered conditions can include certain cancers, chronic silicosis, beryllium sensitivity, or chronic beryllium disease.
If you are unsure whether EEOICPA applies to you, you are not alone. Our team is here to listen, provide clarity, and help you understand whether support may be available—so you can move forward with confidence and peace of mind.
